Where can you get NARCAN
Over-the-Counter Purchase:
You can buy NARCAN over-the-counter at most drug stores and pharmacies.
(WA Medicaid Coverage: WA Medicaid covers NARCAN, including over-the-counter,
with no copay. If you have WA Medicaid, consider using this option).
Free NARCAN Kits by Mail:
If you can’t afford to purchase NARCAN or face other barriers (such as transportation or
stigma), you can order FREE NARCAN kits by mail in Washington State. The People’s
Harm Reduction Alliance provides this service. You can find the order form here (also
available in Spanish).
University of Washington (UW) Students:
UW students can obtain NARCAN, as well as fentanyl test strips, from various locations:
- Hall Health
- Student Food Pantry (NARCAN only)
- Vending machine in Odegaard (1st floor)
Nationwide Availability:
Nationwide, NARCAN will be available at select Walgreen stores starting September 5th,
and by September 7th, it will be available at Rite Aid and CVS stores 1 .
